Age is just a number in many instances, yet not just a number in some cases. Experiences, knowledge and specializations grow with age at the same time vulnerabilities, challenges and risks associated with life also increase. Following some hectic global health challenges resulting from the Covid 19 pandemic, the world is now reflecting upon those challenges associated with vulnerable groups of the population. Hence the 5^th International Conference on Gerontology and Geriatrics Medicine, SilverAge 2024 will be hosted by iConferences with the collaboration of the International Institute on Ageing United Nations - Malta, John Richards Centre for Rural Ageing Research, La Trobe University, Australia and Indian Academy of Geriatrics (IAG), India to assist these efforts. Promising a memorable experience for all the participants, the Silver Age 2024 will be held as a hybrid conference at Penang Island, Malaysia on 12^th - 13^th September 2024. It is expected to take initiatives in commencing the continuous process of healthy ageing in order to optimize and improve the physical, mental, and social well-being of the elderly population and thereby enhance the quality of life. This will ensure a sustainable social structure that enables advancements of humankind in a more holistic approach.
