Dr Anton H Buddhika Peiris is a geriatrician working in Auckland, New Zealand. He obtained his primary medical degree from Colombo Medical School and completed local training in General Medicine at the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, Colombo. Then he worked as a general physician in Sri Lanka before migrating to New Zealand. There he obtained his FRACP and joined Older People’s Health Service at Auckland City Hospital as a specialist geriatrician. He also has had additional training in Palliative Medicine, obtaining a Diploma from Sydney Institute of Palliative Medicine, Australia. His research interests include frailty, falls and stroke rehabilitation.
