I am Dr. Rajiv Mani Adhikari, an MBBS and MD in Community Medicine with over a decade of professional experience in clinical practice, community health, health systems strengthening, research, and academic engagement.

I currently serve as Program Manager at the International Alliance of You Foundation Nepal (IAYFN), in collaboration with Civil Service Hospital, Kathmandu, where I coordinate and implement patient-centered programs, including case management, vocational rehabilitation, financial assistance, and stakeholder engagement. I also serve as Research Head and Quality Manager for a randomized controlled trial conducted in collaboration with the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), in rural Terai, Nepal. Additionally, I am the Principal Investigator of a study examining harmful alcohol consumption and its associated health and social impacts among urban slum communities in Kathmandu. Alongside these responsibilities, I serve as an Editorial Assistant for the International Journal of Occupational Safety and Health. My research experience also includes collaboration with international academic institutions, including Duke University.

My research interests focus on community health, health systems strengthening, vulnerable populations, including geriatric health, and the social determinants and consequences of major community health challenges. I am also actively engaged in peer review, which I consider an important academic responsibility and a meaningful contribution to the quality and integrity of scientific literature.

I have completed professional training in Leadership and Management in Health at the University of Washington and participated in the WHO-TDR Regional Training on Implementation Research at Universitas Gadjah Mada, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, Indonesia. My contributions to research and scientific development have been recognized through the Young Scientist Grant Award 2024 from the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) and the Best Reviewer Award at the Silver Age Conference 2025.
